Belliveau Cove Lighthouse

Belliveau Cove Lighthouse

The Belliveau Cove Lighthouse was constructed in 1889.  Made in the pepper-shaker style, it stood 6.7 meters tall and a fixed green light shone from its red lantern.

In 1973 the original lighthouse was destroyed by a storm.  In the 1980s, the community built a replica lighthouse.

Location

Belliveau Cove Lighthouse sits at the end of the wharf that juts out into the harbor. Digby Neck is across the bay.

From Route 1 in the village of Belliveau Cove, turn off the road at Belliveau Cove Wharf where you can walk the pier to the lighthouse.
