Summerville Beach: Spectacular!
This one kilometer white sand beach is one of the most popular beaches in along the South Shore.
Sheltered picnic areas with washrooms and changing rooms, a sandy shoreline and sand dunes in the background make this beach an ideal daytime destination. If you don’t want to pack a picnic, head over to The Quarterdeck restaurant over looking the beach and check out their varied menu. This beach is a nesting area for Piping Plovers so visitors are requested to keep to the designated paths during the nesting season.
Recently had some fantastic family days at Summerville Center Beach and Provincial Park. The weather was perfect. Blue skies with little white puffs of clouds floating overhead and bright sun shimmering off the waves. The waves were perfect for boogie boarding. For me, there is nothing more relaxing than a day on the beach. The fresh air and sunshine do wonders to rejuvenate my spirit.
