Port Maitland Beach

Port Maitland Beach

Port Maitland Beach

At about 12 kms, Port Mailtand Beach is one of the longest beaches in Nova Scotia.  At one of the beach is the Port Maitland Beach Provincial Park at the other is the Salmon River.

Because the beach is on the Bay of Fundy the tidal range is huge.  When the tide is out, it goes out a long way exposing what seems like of miles of white sand, making it perfect for walking.

Nearest Cottages

The closest Sandy Lane cottage to Port Maitland Beach is Elm Tree Cottage.  Again, it’s not close (about an hour and a twenty minutes from Shelburne), but if you are going on a day trip to Mavilette Beach, you should stop here as well.

Location

3297 Shore Road, Port Maitland, NS, Yarmouth, NS.

There is parking behind the beach.
