Spectacular White Sandy Beach Close To Liverpool
Beach Meadows Beach is one of the closest beaches to the town of Liverpool and as a result is very popular with local families. A kilometer long crescent beach with fine white sand, it is a delightful spot to spend an afternoon. take a picnic, spread out your towel and enjoy the sunshine. At the southern end is a protruding granite ledge that has been worn away over time to create tidal pools.
I have a friend who grew up just down the road from the beach and for her, it was a place to hang out with friends. I can’t imagine a nicer back garden for a child growing up!
Over the years we have visited Beach Meadows Beach on many different occasions. Most recently when we had a student visiting from Germany, we all went to spend the afternoon there. There is something compelling about poking around in the tidal pools and clambering over rocks. The younger folk swam, while I walked, lazed in a chair and enjoyed the salty breeze and sunshine.
Beach Meadows Beach has on site amenities that include parking, change rooms and washroom facilities. There is a boardwalk leads to the beach, but there are no vendors – so you will have to pack your own picnic.
Nearest Cottages
Moose Harbour View Cottage just outside Liverpool is approximately a 15 minute drive. A little further away, but still within an easy driving distance is Sea Star Cottage and Beach Heaven.
