We had beautiful weather 6 out of 7 days. We enjoyed the beautifully private beach as well as this gorgeous cottage. We all felt at home immediately and feel relaxed and happy after our week at Francis Louis House.
The Francis Louis House was great! We drove up to Durham Lane and down to what's known as the
old wharf. We took a lovely walk along that fabulous beach-left toward the mouth of the harbor. A great place to visit at low tide. Afterwards we rode down to the end of St. Catherine's River Road, stopping to view the marsh before the big curve near the end of the road. We saw an adult bald eagle atop one of the scraggly tall spruces! Just finished one fantastic week with great weather! It seems this cottage is immune to fog. Carter's Beach was visited almost daily. Our 2 year old loved the cold water. Had a great meal at the Quarter Deck Restaurant! The cottage was very comfortable, clean and bright. We'd highly recommend it. Daily trips to surrounding towns were great; Shelburne, Lunenburg, Liverpool. Lot's of small museums to see. The Rossignol Cultural Center was quirky but surprisingly satisfiying. Fabulous Memories!
