The area around Shelburne and Barrington is a Nova Scotia treasure. Red Head Retreat is a perfect place to stay and enjoy it. Comfortably furnished, bright and sparkling clean plus you can sit on the deck in a rocking chair and take in the expansive view of the ocean complete with a lighthouse. The kitchen is well stocked and has two under the counter refrigerators. This was our third rental with Sandy Lane Vacation Rentals and it certainly won't be our last. We're both architects so it was a particular pleasure to stay in a cottage that we had seen published. Its beautiful - we wish more people were building contemporary cottages, and the site is gorgeous!
What a gem, a perfectly secluded and private place to have a great get away to the South Shore. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom and other amenities. Close to local town for all supplies. Highly recommend.
This is a lovely piece of land and a great cottage with everything that you need. You can enjoy kayaking and paddle right to a lovely, secluded beach. Enjoy coffee on the deck with beautiful views. The cottage has everything you could need and is quite modern. Great kitchen for cooking and all the bedrooms were super comfortable. We saw rabbits and deer, and tons of birds. Ragged Island Retreat is a very private get away -- and you will not hear a car or other people from the cottage.
