I have a lingering memory of our week at Sanderling Beach House. It is of waking up in the master bedroom and gazing out the full length windows to the sun filtering through the fog and lining the beach grasses with silver. That's just one of many that I will treasure. The house was well designed, with clear views outside, room to be together and apart, a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. We appreciated the colourful deck chairs (just looking at the range of shades was a treat onto itself) and the sand toys. Helen was very helpful and took a personal interest. The only drawback was the horrendous state of the 1.8 klm. road going in. It was so rough and rocky we felt it hindered our ability to go out and about exploring. Other than that, it was just perfect. We had a very pleasant time here at the cottage We tasted fog and rain and sun. Very relaxing place! One week is not enough! The Beach was tasteful! Hope we will come again! Un Gros Merci!

Fishing, biking, hiking and even golf not too far away.
Best of all, dog friendly so our 4 legged buddies had fun too. What a fabulous week we've had!!! Wonderful water - such a lovely spacious cozy home. Castaway Ocean Lodge has a view to die for. We loved Shelburne and Lockeport too; very quaint with lovely old house and so quiet and unspoiled.

DescriptionLouis Head Beach is one of our favourite beaches. It is a glorious golden crescent beach that stretches for over 2 miles. The sandy beach and protected cove make it an ideal launching area for kayaking.Home to the endangered Piping Plover, dogs should be leashed during the nesting and hatching season in late June and early July. LocationThe nearest cottage to this beach is:Sanderling Beach House - this cottage is right on the beach To get to the beach take Exit 23, HWY 103 continue along this road until you come to a fork in the road.
