WOW - this was the first word from our mouths as we drove down the driveway and saw this beautiful place! We have had a wonderfully peaceful and serene week here at Castaway Ocean Lodge and the hot tub has been a god send and has enabled us to be outside enjoying the veiw even through the wind and the rain. A fabulous haven that will live long in our memories!

John Foss, OwnerJohn is our Emergencies Guru!An easygoing, handy fellow with an immeasurable number of contacts, he is able to solve even the most daunting of problems … usually with just one phone call. With a background in renovations and construction, John understands our properties inside and out. When he is not running to our rescue, he can be found down the street at Claussen Walters Ltd. A licensed realtor he is the one to see if you decide, like so many others, that you just have to own property in Nova Scotia! Theressa Bower, GardenerTheressa is our Gardener Extraordinaire!With her sunny disposition and quirky sense of style “Tee” can be found driving around on the ride-on lawn mower, whipper snipping or fixing just about anything. Sometimes the weather does not always cooperate, and it is not possible to cut the grass on a turn over day, so you may get to meet her during your stay.  Rebecca Acker, BookkeeperBecky is our Diligent Bookkeeper!With a gracious style and a devish smile on her face Becky keeps us all in line. She is conscientious, a sticker for details and lots of fun even when she is questioning our expenses! On Wednesdays you will find her hiding behind her computer trying to make sense of our chicken scratch and keeping the books in order. It is quite a task!  Sam and Max, Our Little HelpersSam and Max are our Enthusiastic Helpers!These guys are our research and development team for children’s activities. Always willing to lend a hand, they will happily play on the beach, go to museums, attend festivals and test-drive all the local playgrounds … all in the name or research! Their dedication to their jobs is admirable! |
