Guest Testimonials

Lovely renovated cottage in beautiful coastal location!
Red Head Retreat was open, bright and clean as seen on the website pictures. Nicely furnished; fabulous views from interior and from deck. Lots of opportunity for walking and viewing nature. Our dogs loved it too. Pre-visit information package including driving directions were very thorough (use them not GPS for the last bit) Red Head is absolutely peaceful and relaxing. A wonderful place to get away from it all. Grocery stores are in Shelburne or Barrington Passage, both about 30 minutes away. We would certainly go back again!

I had a very enjoyable and peaceful stay.

Elm Tree Cottage has all the comforts that one would need for a decent stay. I was there for nearly 3 weeks and enjoyed coming back in the evening to this cosy little cottage. It is nicely decorated, great shower, comfortable bed, good kitchen and good internet. The owners live nearby such that if anything is needed (like losing the key) they are there to provide it.

Arrived 1 day late in the wake of Hurricane Earl but our cottage was certanily worth the wait. What a lovely, well equipped cottage and gorgeous view! Thank you Helen and John for your concern about our safe arrival.

We fell in love with the ocean and the family of seals. This is a perfect spot to get away and relax. Despite the lengthy drive, we highly recommend going whale watching on Brier Island in the Zodiacs. Francis Louis House is a very cozy and comfortable cottage. We would love to retire here. Thank you for letting us stay here!
