My angel and I were here for a private weekend and simply said, the beach house was spectacular! It completely blew away our expectations! The weather was spotty, but sunny when we needed it to be. And, along with romantic walks on the beach searching for shells, we had plenty of places to drive and explore. We've traveled the world over and truely, this has been one of the most wonderful places to stay. We'll be back for sure.
A beautiful gem on the South Shore
I stayed at the Red Head Retreat with my husband and 2 friends. This was our first trip to the South Shore since moving to NS 2 years ago. The property is absolutely stunning with a huge yard ending at the ocean's edge. It is very private and quiet. The cottage is beautiful and has a spacious open concept on the lower floor. Bedrooms are nice and the cottage is equipped with everything you need. The large deck in the back is a great feature as is the fire pit. The cottage is close to some awesome beaches and Shelburne is an easy drive. We were very impressed with this cottage and had such a great time! We highly recommend it! We have both had a wonderful time staying in your beatiful house in Liverpool. The investments you have made in time and care to furnishing and decorating the house have been very much appreciated. This certainly is a much different place to the Liverpool we have in our country!
What a great spot. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Castaway Ocean Lodge. The hot tub is a nice touch. We hope to be back sometime in the near future.

Breakfasts are served inside, but you can take your coffee outside to enjoy on the deck. Depending on the tide, the lighthouse may be completely surrounded by water or accessible along the sand spit. Send the kids out to play on the beach and enjoy a moment of peace.The closest cottages to this breakfast are: Ocean's Tranquility Guest House in Sandy Point and Captain McLean's Carriage House, Above Studio 14, Rose Gate Cottage in the town of Shelburne. OtherJohn, the breakfast aficionado loves the Sandy Point breakfast. I would happily sleep in on a Saturday morning, but on a Sandy Point Breakfast morning, I am "encouraged" to get up and get going!
