With the sound of the surf and a fabulous view of the salt marsh, one can relax and recharge. Summerset Cottage is equipped with anything you might need, in a stylish and modern style. The space is roomy and comfortable. The large yard, with patio and fire pit was perfect for watching wildlife (we saw a Great Blue Heron, deer, a fox and many water fowl), playing lawn games or roasting s’mores.
An absolute dream spot!
We travelled to the Sanderling Beach House from Ontario in August. What an amazing week! The house was even more spacious than it appeared in the photos, with a beautiful beach theme running throughout. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the layout provides a beautiful view of the beach from just about every spot in the house. The white sand beach is gorgeous, clean and so quiet. It almost felt like we were on a private beach. We would 100% recommend this property to anyone considering it. The fact that we had three teenagers who never once missed being "connected" due to lack of WiFi or television speaks volumes!! Thank you John and Helen. Thanks so very much for opening this amazing "house-with-a-view!" Sanderling Beach House is utterly amazing! The design totally allows every room to enjoy and celebrate the beauty of its surroundings. Thank you for the special things you've allowed us to use in your home, too; from the fine sheets and towels to quilts and good (Henckel's) knives. Great job! Those things really enhanced our stay. We will definitely be back! Nature's beauty was amazing! Spectacular! Unbelievable!

DescriptionNewly renovated and tastefully furnished, Harbour Tide House is warm and inviting. Painted in muted tones and decorated with nautical accents, the house captures the essence of East Coast living. It's ideal for couples or families who want to explore, sight-see and then come home to a well-designed, peaceful retreat.The ground floor has a spacious kitchen, a large living room, separate dining room, cozy reading nook, queen size bedroom and a three piece bathroom (with shower). Upstairs are two additional bedrooms: the large Master bedroom has a king size bed and the smaller bedroom has a single bed and a play pen for youngsters. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need; including a dishwasher, a pot for cooking lobsters and a fish steamer. The living room has a comfortable seating arrangement, wood burning fireplace, and a smart TV (Apple) for movie watching. The dining room is large enough for seafood feasts and family gatherings. The reading nook is a delightful bonus. With a chaise lounge, it is the perfect spot to escape for an afternoon nap. There are laundry facilities in the basement. Outside, a large garden with a private deck with patio furniture allows space for reflecting, watching the colourful fishing boats go by, reading and cooking on the propane barbeque. The cottage is situated on an oceanfront property with views of and direct access to marvellous Port Mouton Bay. The bay is tidal and there is direct access to the water from the cottage for launching kayaks at high and low tide.Carters Beach - probably the most beautiful white sandy beach along the South Shore - is about 2 minute drive or a leisurely 20-minute walk away. Other beaches in the area include Summerville Beach; Hunts Point Beach; South West Port Mouton Beach; and the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct.
