We stayed at the Castaway Ocean Lodge for a week and had a wonderful time. The view from this venue was exceptional and its location was perfect for day trips to nearby towns. The cabin had everything we needed to make this vacation very relaxing. Beach Heaven is a very modern, well-appointed property with beautiful views and quick access to a lovely beach. The hot tub and saunas are nice bonuses too! The kitchen is well-equipped making meal prep a breeze.
The location is ideal for day trips to different areas on Nova Scotia's south shore, and is handy to a number of parks and bird sanctuary areas. Thank you for making your wonderful beach house available to us. Both of us work in fairly high stress jobs and were looking for an extra-relaxing locale for a break. The cottage, setting and local places and people provided this behond our hopes.
We had a wonderful time here in Nova Scotia. We tried swimming at Crescent Beach - way too cold but found some warm water for the kids to enjoy at Roseway Beach. Our son enjoyed catching mackerel off the pier and our daughter enjoyed picking up sea shells off the shore line. Thanks a million for a great holiday.

Completely renovated in 2007, the house is cheerful, bright and airy. A large picture window in the living room takes advantage of the harbour view, while the sliding patio door that leads from the kitchen to the wooden deck and bathes the interior with light. Furnished with an eclectic mix of new pieces and antiques, the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. It's a short walk down to the harbour to meet some of the local fishermen. A short stroll further along the shore road will lead to a rocky outcrop and a view of Coffin Island. White Point, Summerville and Carter's Beaches are all approximately 15 to 20 minutes away. The Thomas Raddall Provincial Park, the Kejimkujik National Park and the spectacular are also close by. Its 45 minutes to the UNESCO heritage site of Lunenburg and 50 minutes to the famous white churches of Mahone Bay. The airport is 2 hours and Halifax an easy 1½-hour drive.Amenities
