Everything is even better than the photos! Fully stocked kitchen, top notch appliances, sparkling clean, and designer touches everywhere you look. The beach was beautiful (even in the winter!) for daily strolls.
Despite the fact the the home has custom, expensive touches, it also manages to feel incredibly cozy and lived in. It's obvious this is a loved, family home and not just a rental. There is an amazing couch and huge TV (not pictured) that are a welcome surprise.
Note for business travellers, the wifi isn't the strongest or most reliable, but great for emails, Netflix, and vacation needs! As first guest of the year at the Castaway Ocean Lodge, we were very happy to find a warm, fully stocked and clean beautiful getaway home. We relaxed and enjoyed beautiful sunsets, sunrises and a full moon positioned perfectly over the harbour. We expolored Lockeport and loved the tiny windows in the roofs; a gorgeous white sand beach. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay and feel at home.
Beach Heaven is a very modern, well-appointed property with beautiful views and quick access to a lovely beach. The hot tub and saunas are nice bonuses too! The kitchen is well-equipped making meal prep a breeze.
The location is ideal for day trips to different areas on Nova Scotia's south shore, and is handy to a number of parks and bird sanctuary areas. The location is unbelievable - a lovely sandy beach within short walking distance. View from Bright View Cottage across the bay and gorgeous sunsets as promised. Best thing to be able to lie in bed and see the ocean! Cottage comfortable and well provisioned with everything you might need. Instructions clear and detailed and the cottage binder contained lots of helpful local information. Location is very private and access to beach would be difficult to impossible for anyone with mobility issues.
