Our first day here we open the curtains to be greeted by the view of a Great Blue Heron standing among the rocks of your little beach area! For our 20th anniversary what we were looking for was a place that offered quiet and seclusion away from very busy lives! Your home was just the ticket! Quiet relaxing days of no particular schedule made this an anniversary to remember!
We experienced two weeks holidays in a wonderful nice place. The nature, sun, sea, fog, wind wildlife and many other things have fullfilled our days with peace and satisfaction. As a boatbuilder and naval architect, I have been very satisfied with the architecture of this house.
Great cottage, sunny, quiet, tranquility. Quietest cottage we have ever stayed at. Went down Blanche Rd. to the end (about 10 min. from the cottage) and walked the beach and rocks at low tide. Saw a colony of seals barking on rocks. Don't miss Cape Forchu outside of Yarmouth, Outstanding. Compliments on keeping the natural setting

DescriptionPeace and Plenty is an attractive, bright 1½-storey farmhouse that was built in the early 1840s. Home to many a fisherman and family over the years. More recently the house has been completely renovated and is now an all-season vacation rental. An addition; designed by Order of Canada recipient, Rod Robbie who is best known for his design of Toronto's Sky Dome; increases the living space of the original small cottage and takes advantage of the stunning ocean view.Traditional in character with painted pine floors, the house is furnished with handcrafted pieces, antiques and original paintings by local artists. The main floor features a living room, dining room, study/den, compact kitchen and modern 4-piece bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms; the Master bedroom has a queen size bed, while the other bedroom has two twin beds. The interior combines traditional atmosphere with a tasteful eclectic décor. The living and dining rooms lead the eye to the lovely shoreline where the water views are maximized by picture windows. Situated on an oceanfront property with direct access and marvelous unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean, Peace and Plenty has a rocky shoreline in front of the cottage that is home to a group of playful Grey seals that frolic in the surf and bask on the rocks. The cottage enjoys the best of both worlds. From the deck enjoy an ocean view with a salty breeze and the sound of waves splashing against the rocks. Walk or hike along the rocky shore to Western Head Beach for some of the best surfing in the area or take a stroll along the quiet road to Victoria Lake – a freshwater lake that is perfect for swimming and fishing. LocationPeace and Plenty is located in the quiet community of Western Head, approximately 7 km or 3 miles to the center of Liverpoolwith its restaurants, museums, grocery stores and other amenities. White Point, Summerville and Carter’s Beaches are approximately 15 to 20 minutes away. The Thomas Raddall Provincial Park, the Kejimkujik National Park and the spectacular Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct are also close by. Its 45 minutes to the UNESCO heritage site of Lunenburg and 50 minutes to the famous white churches of Mahone Bay. The airport is 2 hours and Halifax an easy 1½-hour drive.Amenities
