Great cottage, sunny, quiet, tranquility. Quietest cottage we have ever stayed at. Went down Blanche Rd. to the end (about 10 min. from the cottage) and walked the beach and rocks at low tide. Saw a colony of seals barking on rocks. Don't miss Cape Forchu outside of Yarmouth, Outstanding. Compliments on keeping the natural setting
Our first day here we open the curtains to be greeted by the view of a Great Blue Heron standing among the rocks of your little beach area! For our 20th anniversary what we were looking for was a place that offered quiet and seclusion away from very busy lives! Your home was just the ticket! Quiet relaxing days of no particular schedule made this an anniversary to remember!

DescriptionCompletely renovated and restored in 2007, Havenside Cottage offers open modern concept living in a beautiful secluded location. The fully equipped, eat-in kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances and gorgeous granite counters is a cook’s delight. The comfortable sitting room and dining area blend seamlessly creating a cohesive living space. The 3-piece bathroom is equally appointed with new fixtures and radiant in-floor heating. Completing the floor plan is a sunny Master bedroom with a queen size bed, plenty of closet space, a chest of draws and a view of the garden and ocean. There are two twin beds in the second bedroom.Large picture windows allow for plenty of natural light and capitalize on the spectacular view. LocationHavenside Cottage is located in the quiet community of Port La Tour on Nova Scotia’s picturesque Lighthouse Route. Situated in the center of a concealed oceanfront property, the cottage enjoys unspoiled views of the ocean and over 500 feet of private shoreline. Secluded, yet conveniently located, it is a 15-minute drive to Barrington Passage, 35 minutes to the historic town of Shelburne.If you can tear yourself away from the cottage to do some exploring, the River Hills Golf and Country Club is 15 km away. Sand Hills Beach with its lovely white sand dunes is about 20 km away, while the fantastic Hawk Beach on Cape Sable Island is approximately 30 km. Guestbook"Upon our arrival, I immediately noticed that even though Havenside Cottage is located only a few hours from Halifax, it’s very secluded. When we saw the deck with its magnificent view of the ocean, we instantly knew that we made the right decision. To say that we fell in love with your cottage is an understatement. The comfort was enhanced with the wood interior, the stainless steel appliances, the lighting system, and the serenity and peacefulness of the area. It was great to relax by the fire at the end of the day.
