The hot tub was most enjoyable as well as the outdoor fire pit. We did roast marshmallows - felt like we were at camp again.

Our first day here we open the curtains to be greeted by the view of a Great Blue Heron standing among the rocks of your little beach area! For our 20th anniversary what we were looking for was a place that offered quiet and seclusion away from very busy lives! Your home was just the ticket! Quiet relaxing days of no particular schedule made this an anniversary to remember!
We have had two wonderful weeks in Willow Cove Cottage. It’s spacious and equipped mwith everything you need. The beaches are outstanding. It will not be our last trip to Canada.

DescriptionSituated on a 5-acre private lot just five minutes drive to Louis Head Beach – a spectacular, virtually deserted, white sandy beach – Meadow Pines is a relaxing family friendly cottage. At the heart of the house is a large, brightly lit, fully equipped, eat-in kitchen with a picture window overlooking the Sable River and the ocean beyond. The living room is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. Jigsaws, games, books, videos, DVDs and a satellite TV all add to create that sense of “being at home”.There are 4 bedrooms – 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs. The Master bedroom, downstairs has a queen size bed, its own TV and a view of the water. The other downstairs bedroom has 2 twin beds, while the upstairs bedrooms have a queen size bed in one room and two twin beds in the other. All the bedrooms are comfortably furnished with dressing tables, side tables and plenty of closet space. There is a four-piece bath, located on the ground floor. A newly constructed, screened-in gazebo complete with Adirondack chairs, patio furniture and a gas BBQ make for easy outdoor living. It is a pleasure to sit outside and take in the panoramic view without worrying about mosquitoes or other flying nuisances. The cottage is ideal for families, outdoor enthusiasts and birdwatchers. Walk down to the river’s edge; breathe in the fresh salty breeze. Watch for herons and other shorebirds, and the occasional seal. Canoes or kayaks can be put into the water from the property, which is close to the Sable River Bird Sanctuary. LocationMeadow Pines Cottage is a delightful property on Nova Scotia’s picturesque Lighthouse Route, on the Western side of the Sable River. Just upstream from the confluence of the river and the Atlantic Ocean, Meadow Pines’ unique location takes advantage of the best of both worlds. Shelburne, Lockeport and Liverpool are all within 25 minutes driving time. Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct, with its wildlife and walking trails, is twenty minutes away.
